Still reeling from his divorce, Ted spends his time focusing on three things: work, soap operas and video games.

When Ted and his brother are the first to complete an epic quest in the game Wind and War, they are excited to discover what the reward for their achievement will be.

A unique game opportunity seems to follow, but the brothers quickly find out it’s much more. A click of a button and the brothers not only start a new quest, they open a portal that brings the game to Earth.

The challenge of the game becomes the challenge on Earth, complete with dragons, a wizard, a fairy and other fantasy characters. Despite being out of their element, the new arrivals battle alongside the brothers and the US Army to defeat the dragons who are turning Pennsylvania to ash.

Reality meets game world. This time it is a challenge the brothers cannot lose.

High energy, fun read

I had an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

And I’m happy to report I totally enjoyed it. This is a fast, fun ride. It made me think of films like Pulp Fiction in the way that serious stuff can be happening - dragons destroying cities in the US - and still the characters have funny banter the whole time.

I read it in one evening.

Best about this book: I liked the characters, the pace, the dialogue.
